Breaking News: Suspected Boko Haram Terrorist Kill 12 Polio Vaccinators in Kano

Barely three weeks after suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked the Emir of Kano and almost killed him, another set if terrorists have attacked social workers who are giving polio vaccinations to children in Kano killing 12 of them and injuring many others.

In the first of the attacks gun men on motor cycles sprayed bullets at the vaccinators killing four on the spot. After this, some gun men attacked a health center at the outskirts of the city killing more people. Altogether 8 people have been confirmed dead.

Boko Haram, which means Western Education is sin, has been carrying out a campaign to wipe out the traces of Western Education from Northern Nigeria in attacks that have seen them bomb several churches, burn schools, attack police stations and other paramilitary stations.

Yesterday , a controversial Islamic cleric condemned the polio vaccination campaign,and discouraged people in Northern Nigeria from taking them. Northern Nigeria is one of the last places in the world were the virus is still prevalent.
